Introducing the PCSL MINI PRACTICAL TARGET, an official variant of the most up-to-date target of the Practical Competition Shooting League (PCSL): the PCSL PRACTICAL TARGET.
The PCSL Mini Practical Target offers an identical design to the PCSL Practical target, but in a 1/2 scale, or 50% form factor.
PCSL is excited to be able to offer the Mini Practical target to clubs with limited shooting distance, or indoor clubs, especially since it will allow them to challenge their competitors’ rifle fundamentals to a much higher level.
The PCSL Mini Practical Target is typically scored using the Points Per Second (Hit Factor) method. Competitors’ scores are calculated by the points they shot, minus penalties, divided by the time it took them to complete the course of fire. Hits in the A Zone earn 5 points, C Zone hits earn 3 points, and D Zone hits earn 1 point. A hit in the T Zone is equivalent to two A zone hits, scoring the full 10 points available with a single shot.
In PCSL matches, the brown side indicates a handgun target while the white side indicates a carbine target. Penalty targets, or No-Shoots, are solid red with a black “X” marking (also available HERE).
Beyond PCSL matches, the PCSL Mini Practical Target offers versatile applications:
The PCSL Mini Practical Target measures approximately 9” wide by 12” tall, with the A Zone measuring 3” wide by 4.5” tall.

PCSL promotes an open-source practical shooting format that clubs can readily adopt, eliminating the need for affiliation fees. Visit https://www.pcsleague.us/ for comprehensive details on the PCSL format.
